GP Mobile is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide support to our corporate office and field associates. In this role, you will work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and systems. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting technical issues, providing end-user support, and assisting with various IT projects. As an IT Support Specialist, you will handle service inquiries from our retail store locations and the field support staff. This position will report daily to the corporate office.
 
What you will do in your role:
  • Support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals at a retail location via remote access and on-site when necessary.
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, so all of our retail locations can provide a great sales and service experience to our customers.
  • Support the stable operation of the computer networks at our retail locations.
  • Support includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links with minimal network downtime.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems.
  • Maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets.
  • This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links with minimal network downtime.
  • Coordinate the inbound and outbound shipping of all IT assets. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
The experience you’ll bring:
  • 2-3 years of PC, Network, and Hardware Technician experience
  • Preferred A+ and Network+ certification or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team
  • A high school degree or GED is required
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Technologically proficient
  • Ability to work in other locations as the needs of the business dictate
  • Some travel required
  • Ability to lift  up to 50 lbs.
